This dear little chap has been ‘in a pickle’. He has had a poor start in life, in that he has had to have a rear leg amputated due to a serious injury.
He is approx. 1- 2 years old, black and white shorthaired with a wonderful personality. He is a little shy to start with but once he gains confidence he becomes very playful and amazingly mobile on just 3 legs.
We are looking for a loving, safe home for him, not necessarily indoors as we feel that he should have the chance to go out in to a garden. We need to avoid somewhere where he is likely to be chased so not a home with dogs or very young children, nor a busy road.
If you feel you can offer Pickle the perfect home, either complete a homing enquiry form or contact us via the Contact Us page.

What a beautiful and special cat. I would love to give him a forever home but unfortunately I have indoor cats and would not let him outside. Hopefully he finds a new and loving home really soon

I’m so looking forward to giving Pickle a new home! He is going to be one spoilt kitty!
Hi
I just wanted to let you know that Pickle has been taken on by my husband and I and renamed Jeffrey.
He’s fitted in well with our aged female cat, Pif, and our eight year old ginger tom, Charlie. Jeffrey is very mobile for only having three legs and races around after Charlie and Pif without a care in the world. He’s also very adept at climbing on our bed and making himself at home by our feet for the whole night.
He loves our back garden and spends a lot of every day accompanying Charlie, chasing birds, watching the goldfish in our pond and checking out the neighbour’s vegetable patch (and leaving little deposits!) Charlie has certainly taken Jeffrey under his wing and it is a pleasure to watch the pair of them together. Pif tolerates both of them from the vantage point of the settee – she’s too old to be bothered with youngsters.
Thank you for allowing us to offer Jeffrey a home. We love him very much.
From Kay and Dave
Wonderful news, Kay – thanks so much for giving him such a great home. Really appreciated to hear that he is doing well. Thank you!
Update on Jeffrey (formerly Pickle). He is very pleased with himself as he has caught a nice fat juicy mouse which he has brought into the lounge. I am pleased to say he has finished off the mouse so that I am not having to chase around under furniture to retrieve it.
He and Charlie are best mates now. They play together in the garden and chase each other up trees, albeit Charlie has the advantage when it comes to getting back down as he has two hind legs! They like watching the tadpoles and frogs in the pond at the moment and Jeffrey likes to bite the washing on my line! The pair of them together should be called the ASBO brothers! Pif is still too much of a grand old lady to bother with such ruffians.
Jeffrey has settled in so well that we can’t recall a time without him. He’s great, and sleeps all night on the bed with us.
Love Kay and Dave
