Free cat food from Tescos? Yes, please!

Tesco have started their fantastic voucher exchange programme again, where Clubcard vouchers are worth twice their face value in certain departments. One of the departments this year is Pet Food / Cat Food.

If you can, we would love you to spend your extra on us to provide food for the cats in the branch’s care.

Here’s how it works:
For every £5 you spend in the relevant department, you can buy £10 of cat food by exchanging the relevant vouchers. Full details on the promotion can be found here.

Chalky: Gorgeous pure white young cat seeks special indoor-only home

This lovely white shorthaired male needs a very special home. He is only a youngster – approx. 2 years old – but he is FIV positive. This means that he needs an indoor-only home where he cannot come into contact with any other cats (unless they are FIV positive too). He could go outside if a suitable enclosure were built.

He is currently in good health and should have a normal life, if well looked after. If you feel you have the right home for this dear little cat, please contact us. We are happy to discuss his health issue and answer any more questions about his future and lifestyle.

Pepper: Handsome and affectionate youngster seeks new solo pad

This stunning male cat is looking for a new home as he is not getting on with the other cats in his current home.

Pepper is 1 year old and apricot/cream domestic shorthaired. At present he uses a litter tray and is currently being trained to use a cat flap.

Pepper is extremely affectionate and enjoys a fuss. He will happily jump on your lap and settle down, so he should be fine with children. He would be best homed without other cats and not with dogs.

Pepper is not in CP care but we have been asked to find him a new home by his owner. Can you help?

Woody and Jess: Pair of sweet-natured cats seek female-dominated home!

These delightful black and white cats are brother and sister. Woody is 10 and Jessie is 8. Their current owner is moving and unable to take them with her. They can be homed with older children but not with toddlers, other cats or dogs. They both use a litter tray and a cat flap.

Woody is the more dominant of the two; he enjoys being inside and outside and enjoys curling up on your lap. He can be quite greedy and will sometimes take Jess’s food once he has finished his if one isn’t careful!

Jess is very timid a little wary of men. She is definitely more suited to a female household and does not like a lot of noise. Jess has a very small appetite and is very petite. She is very affectionate towards women.

Like all cats, they both enjoy sleeping in warm dark places like the airing cupboard and under the bed or in the bottom of the wardrobe.

They are not in CP care at the moment but their owner has asked us to help find a new home for them.

Wilf and Winnie: Adorable brother and sister pair, just 10 months old

This lovely pair of cats has had to come back into our care as there has been a change of circumstances in the home they originally went to.

Winnie is the tortoiseshell and Wilf is black/chocolate brown and white.

Wilf has a slightly sensitive tummy, so he has to be on sensitive food most of the time. Winnie seems to be OK. They have been thoroughly checked by a vet, so we think Wilf may just get a little stressed from time to time.

This pair needs to go to a quiet home without young children, other cats and definitely no dogs. They need patience and understanding – a home with real cat lovers who are happy to see to their everyday needs.

A really gorgeous, affectionate pair of cats needing a loving, caring home as soon as possible; they have spent too much of their short lives in a cat pen.

These two adorable tabby brothers, 4 years old, are in need of a new home as soon as possible.

Their owner has had to move into a flat and is not allowed pets. They are used to children, and other cats, and can use a cat flap and a litter tray.

Thomas and Milo are not in CP care but their owner has asked our branch to help find them a new home.

Tinkerbell: Sweet tabby cat in need of a quiet, peaceful new home

This dear little female cat has had a bit of a rough time and has been extremely stressed. This has resulted in her over grooming and causing her fur to fall out.

She is a little better since we have brought her into care but she really does need a permanent home and a nice garden in a safe area, so that she can relax.

Tinkerbell is approx. 6 years old and needs a peaceful home without any other cats, dogs or small children.

Cassie: Affectionate and friendly young family cat

Cassie is a pretty, shorthaired tabby female, approx. 11 months old.

This sweet-natured young cat has just finished taking care of her litter of five kittens, and she has been a perfect Mum. We now need a home for Cassie as all her kittens have new homes to go to.

Cassie is very affectionate and will make a delightful pet for any household, including with children (but not dogs as she is not used to them).
