Darcy: Family cat seeks loving new home

This handsome black and white cat is between 7-10 years old, and is looking for a new home as one of the family members where he lives has developed an allergy. His fur is quite dense and medium length.

Darcy is used to children and other cats, but he would not be suitable with dogs. He uses a cat flap, so has been used to going outside and therefore needs a new home in a safe environment.

Darcy is not in CP care but we have been asked by his owner to help find a new home for him. Can you help?

Foster Mum says: I have just said goodbye to Wilbur and Wilma, who have at last gone to their forever home

I cried as they left They were with me so long and I had grown very fond of them. It was also happy tears, as they are now going to be part of a loving family, just as they deserve.

It has been such a privilege looking after these six wonderful kittens, and I hope they will all be really happy in their forever homes x

Arthur: Very special young cat in need of patience and TLC

This is scaredy cat Arthur!!!
Although he looks a tough character, he is scared of so many things. We are looking for a quiet home for him with an experienced cat lover.

Arthur needs time, patience and understating and above all no stress, as we feel he may have been mistreated before he came into our care. He is only a youngster, probably no more than 3, and deserves to be in a permanent loving home and knowing where his next meal (and cuddle eventually) is coming from.

Gypsy: Special cat looking for a very special home

Can you offer this lovely 11 year old female cat a very special home?

Gypsy has been diagnosed with cancer. She has a tumour above her eye which is inoperable. She is perfectly happy at the moment; sprightly, eating well, not in pain and loves to be brushed.

She needs somewhere to live for the remainder of her life and we do not know how long that could be. According to the vets, it could be just months or years even and she is certainly a long, long way from the decision of euthanasia.

We feel that she should not end her days in a foster pen and we would love her to go to a quiet home where she can be loved, spoilt and pampered. She came into care as her owner had to go into a nursing home.

Flip: Affectionate tabby and white family cat

This beautiful 10 year old female, tabby and white is in need of a new home, due to a family member’s allergy in her previous home.

Flip can be a little shy at first but gaining in confidence every day. She will make a lovely family pet as she is used to children and other cats. She could be homed with Meko as they are from the same home. We do not think they should be homed with dogs.

Meko: Young, friendly tabby female cat looking for a home

Meko is a pretty two year old female in need of a new home because of a family member’s allergy in her previous home.

This adorable little tabby girl loves a cuddle. She is very confident and friendly and could be homed with Flip (the 10 year old tabby) as they are both from the same home. Meko is used to children but not dogs.

Phil: Playful male kitten looking for new playmates

Phil is a delightful 5 month old white shorthaired male kitten, microchipped and neutered.

This little lad needs a new home as he is just too energetic for the elderly cat that is already living in his home and is causing her stress. He really needs a home with another playmate of a similar age.

Phil is used to children and other cats, but not dogs. He uses a litter tray but has never used a cat flap (although he can be trained to use one, of course).

Wilma and Wilbur: Two gorgeous rescue kittens looking for homes

Hello! We are Wilma and Wilbur. We are brother and sister, and are 8 months old. All our other brothers and sisters have now found homes, but we are still waiting.

Before we introduce ourselves properly, here’s a quick video of us playing together:

My name is Wilma. They say I am a pretty girl, with a lovely balanced temperament; not too shy, not too brash! I am super-friendly and love a stroke and a fuss. I will accept short cuddles from my foster mum at the moment. I will have to decide once we have got to know one another how far we can take the cuddling thing. I will happily sit on your lap though. I love to play and would happily go to a home with my brothers Wilbur, or indeed with another playmate, including humans of the small variety (I’m pretty easy-going!).

I am the mighty Wilbur!

I have wonderfully long legs and a gloriously long tail! I am a cheeky little devil; I love to play, have confidence galore, and I love to be cuddled and fussed. I will happily play on my own, or with my sister….as long I have a toy mouse, I’m happy.
Basically, I’m simply adorable!

Find your perfect partner this Valentine’s Day with Cats Protection

As Valentine’s Day approaches, we are appealing to people to spare a thought for the many homeless felines who need to meet that special someone.

We currently have dozens of felines in its care who are all desperate to find a home.

Branch volunteers are now calling on potential owners to celebrate the most loving day of the year by finding a new pet.

Volunteer Louisa Bird said: “Just like humans, cats are individuals with different quirks and personalities and we have cats which would suit all sorts of people.

“You can never predict which cat a prospective owner will bond with – sometimes people go for cats with similar personalities to their own, other times is definitely a case of ‘opposites attract’. Either way, there is no denying that cats make fantastic pets. They are loyal, friendly, funny and loving – so what better time of year to pick a new best friend than around Valentine’s Day?”

One cat current looking for his ‘purrfect partner’ is Alonzo. This dear little cat was brought into Cats Protection care after being handed in by a cat-loving member of the public who had been feeding him for a while. Having been unable to trace his owners, the charity is now looking for a loving home for handsome Alonzo.

He is estimated at two years old, and is black and white shorthaired. He can be a little nervous at first, but his foster carer feels he will settle down once he is in a permanent, loving home. The ideal home for him would be one without very young children or dogs, but he may be OK living with other cats.

Rafi and Rosie: Pedigree Bengal cats in need of a new home

Rafi (pedigree name – Sunshadow):
Brown-spotted male neutered, (2 years, 10 months), GCCF registered and pedigree certificate available so can be shown (won Best of Variety Foreign Kitten when shown previously). MUST go to indoor home as has never been outside (except on a harness).
A little timid but friendly and tolerates handling, currently lives with two other cats, no health issues.

Rosie (pedigree name – Beautiful):
Brown-spotted entire female, will be spayed before rehoming (2 years, 4 months), GCCF registered and pedigree certificate available so can be shown. MUST go to indoor home as has never been outside (except on a harness), gets on well with other cats.
Quite nervous and timid with humans but tolerates handling and hopefully her temperament will improve once she’s away from a multi-cat household, eats only wet cat food, likes to chew things (especially cardboard and boxes), no health issues.

Please note that priority will be given to enquiries from potential owners who have prior experience with Bengal cats.
